Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Support. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to project managers lead stakeholder engagement, manage project documentation, and support procurement activities including RFQ/RFP development and evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement with Defence stakeholders including APS, ADF, contractors, and coalition partners.
  • Facilitate workshops, briefings, and consultations to support capability development.
  • Manage schedules, risks, and reporting for assigned project activities.
  • Support coordination across multiple project teams.
  • Develop and refine RFQs and RFPs in accordance with Defence procurement policy.
  • Coordinate evaluation panels and contribute to tender assessments and recommendations.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities for integration across projects.
  • Prepare project documentation including strategies, reports, and governance artefacts.
  • Ensure compliance with the Defence Writing Manual and One Defence Capability System.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of concept demonstrations, trials, workshops, or other capability-related events.
  • Lead the development of Post Activity Reports (PARs) to capture outcomes, lessons learned, stakeholder feedback, and recommendations for future capability development.
  • Ensure that insights from PARs are integrated into ongoing project planning, RFQ/RFP development, and capability governance documentation.

Qualifications:

  • NV1 security clearance or higher.
  • Proven experience in managing Defence capability projects, including both Army Minors and Major initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of RFP/RFQ development, tender evaluation, and Defence procurement governance.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with APS, ADF, industry, and coalition partners to support capability development.
  • Experience supporting integration across multiple projects and ensuring alignment with strategic programs.
  • Familiarity with the One Defence Capability System, Defence Writing Manual, and capability lifecycle processes.
  • Understanding of Defence's operational concepts, future force design, and how capability development supports these objectives.
