Summary:

We are seeking a Project Manager, who will be responsible for the design, development and management of the Business Management System (BMS) structure and supporting content. The BMS repositories require ongoing development and support to ensure that processes, and detailed support guidance, remain accurate and available to personnel, in accordance with the Enterprise Business Process Management (EBPM) processes.

Responsibilities:

• Project manage the BMS project in line with best practice application of project management; including project planning, scheduling and resource levelling.
• Design and lead an active change program to support clients, to develop and uplift business process mapping and deliver full digitisation of administrative products in accordance with Enterprise Business Process Management (EBPM) processes mandated as part of the Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Actively ensure that the Preparedness and Capability intranet pages, reflect contemporary policy and guidance.
• Continue to improve the structure and content of the BMS and intranet pages to enhance user experience and effective adoption of policy and guidance.
• Actively lead the uplift of business process mapping and optimisation with relevant stakeholders.
• Establish appropriate governance and record keeping processes and practices supporting the BMS through linking policy, legislation and strategic artefacts to establish a hierarchy of documentation and logic-flow for setting BMS requirements.
• Align and identify interlinkages between libraries.
• Present information to key stakeholders, including senior leaders and groups that communicate the benefits of the BMS, business process modelling and information management governance.
• Assist in preparedness awareness and training by maintaining the Paratus depository, including liaising with the Paratus Sustainment Team.
• Act as the first point of call response for BMS-improvement suggestions and provide possible solutions/ recommendations to business process owners.
• Provide assistance to divisions within the client on establishing their webpages, using Preparedness as the benchmark.
• Apply coding experience in Holocentric/ Modelpedia to update Modelpedia Business Process Models, and create new – or update existing – process models as necessary.

Qualifications:

• NV1 security clearance or higher.
• A detailed understanding of the Defence capability policy environment and how processes within the BMS guide personnel in the practical application of, and compliance with, relevant policy and procedural requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the technical functionality of inter-related, linked, and subordinate BMS libraries and how they interface with the ODCS, VCDFG and Defence Preparedness BMS libraries.
• Strong understanding of the capability-related modelling efforts across Defence.
• Demonstrated skills in business process mapping and optimisation within the Defence environment.
• Demonstrated ability to actively engage with stakeholders, to lead the development and uplift of business process mapping, process optimisation, and product digitisation.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of project and change management, noting IPMB has a mandate to drive capability-related change within Defence.
• Sound understanding of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Information Management (EIM) frameworks and associated requirements and the ability to actively engage and shape/ align VCDF and ODCS business processes to cultivate business readiness and compliance.
• A systems engineering approach to process development.
• Understanding of the importance of trusted data and information management as it applies to Defence's capability reform and continuous improvement.
• An ability to actively identify and propose appropriate business improvements.
