Are you a lawyer who loves solving problems, cutting through complexity, and working with great people? Bayer Australia is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Legal Counsel to join our team and drive impactful legal strategies across our Pharmaceuticals, Radiology, and Consumer Health divisions.

This is a hands-on, business partnering role where you will provide practical, commercial legal advice across a wide variety of commercial and regulatory issues. You will be at the forefront of shaping legal solutions that ensure compliance and empower our business objectives, all while collaborating with top-tier professionals and external partners. Do something that moves you.

• Act as a trusted legal business partner, supporting commercial outcomes and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and Bayer policies.
• Work closely with the General Counsel & Company Secretary, contributing actively to Leadership Teams within the Bayer ANZ Health businesses.
• Provide leadership and legal expertise as a member of the Health Senior Leadership Teams.
• Draft, review and manage contracts and key agreements, providing clear and commercial legal oversight.
• Lead litigation and disputes management, delivering strategic and commercial legal guidance.
• Assist in negotiating business transactions, including acquisitions and divestments.
• Conduct legal and compliance training across Health businesses.
• Manage and oversee external legal service providers to ensure high quality, timely, and cost-effective support.

Does this sound like you?

• 6+ years' experience gained in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Law degree with a current Australian practising certificate.
• All-rounder with strong technical skills and a broad grounding in commercial law.
• A clear and confident communicator who can support and influence senior stakeholders, providing practical, risk-balanced and solutions-focused advice.
• Solid experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating general commercial contracts.
• Commercially minded with a pragmatic and commercial approach to risk.
• A collaborative team player who brings energy, curiosity and enjoys building strong relationships within the team and across the business.
