YOUR NEW ROLE

This role is primarily responsible for coordinating and executing stakeholder events to cultivate and leverage the Opera House's key relationships. Events can include opening nights, philanthropy and partnerships events, CEO and Trust events, program launches and showcases, and any organisation-wide activities that align with the Opera House's strategic priorities.

The position reports to the Senior Manager, Strategic Events, within the Strategic Engagement portfolio, and is responsible for administration, ticketing, stakeholder management, communications, and overseeing logistics associated with the successful delivery of the events. The overall goal is to work collaboratively with internal and external contacts to deliver impeccable stakeholder events that align with our ambition – to be Everyone's House.

The Strategic Events Coordinator will play a key role in the delivery of a range of stakeholder events and activities aligned to the Opera House's commitments to the UN Global Goals.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

Key Responsibilities/skills:

  • Minimum two years' experience in event coordination, organising stakeholder and strategic events in a complex environment and juggling multiple events at different stages of planning.
  • Proven organisational skills, time management skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with all levels of internal and external clients and suppliers, and manage multiple stakeholders often with competing objectives.
  • Good oral and written skills, including an ability to draft clear and concise messages and to present information and data in a logical and coherent manner.
  • Sound working knowledge of computer software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Previous experience in database and database management.
  • Knowledge of Tessitura is essential
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment working to multiple departments and priorities.
