Job Title: Strategic Events Coordinator

Location: Various locations across Australia, including Woden ACT, Sydney NSW, Brisbane QLD, Adelaide SA, Melbourne VIC, Hobart TAS, Darwin NT, Perth WA

The Office for Sport is seeking a highly skilled professional to support strategic planning for upcoming major sporting events. As part of the Major Events Branch, this role will play a key part in coordinating the Australian Government's involvement in the bidding for and delivery of one-off major international sporting events hosted in Australia.

This strategic position will be responsible for undertaking a range of tasks including:

  • Research and analysis
  • Event assessments and evaluations
  • Program management and coordination
  • General administrative duties

This role will suit individuals with excellent communication, organisational and writing skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Knowledge of the Australian sports sector is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct research and analysis to inform event planning decisions

* Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate event assessments and evaluations

* Develop and implement program management strategies

* Provide general administrative support as required
