We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. You will play a key role in crafting exquisite seafood dishes that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality seafood dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to our menu standards
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative seasonal menus
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Source and select fresh, sustainable ingredients, with a focus on local Tasmanian produce
  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance the dining experience
  • Mentor and train junior kitchen staff as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a high-end restaurant, preferably with a focus on seafood
  • Strong knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniques
  • Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
  • Passion for sustainability and locally sourced ingredients
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
