We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. You will play a key role in crafting exquisite seafood dishes that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality seafood dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to our menu standards
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative seasonal menus
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Source and select fresh, sustainable ingredients, with a focus on local Tasmanian produce
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance the dining experience
- Mentor and train junior kitchen staff as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef in a high-end restaurant, preferably with a focus on seafood
- Strong knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniques
- Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
- Passion for sustainability and locally sourced ingredients
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
