The Role

We are seeking a technically-minded person who has worked or been involved with machinery to move in to a new career as a Forklift Battery Service Technician.

In this role you will provide service and technical assistance to our customers in the material handling industry throughout Melbourne and surrounds. This role would suit somebody who has good mechanical aptitude and is looking for an exciting new career in a growing industry. If you have worked with forklifts before, you are also encouraged to apply.

Based out of Keysborough, you will be involved both with the installation and maintenance of traction (forklift) batteries and chargers. Your daily duties will also include the testing of traction batteries and further maintenance activities such as repairing, replacement or fault diagnosis.

About you

  • Good mechanical mind (Trade or Trade Assistant experience helps)
  • Current Forklift licence
  • Current MR Driver's licence
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own time
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Well-presented with strong customer service skill
  • Prior experience working with Forklifts (desirable)

This role will involve a lot of heavy lifting. The successful candidate will enjoy a focused and fast-paced team environment and will receive a full training program with progression opportunities in the future.
