The Role

You'll join a leading financial services organisation at the forefront of Open Banking innovation — building secure, scalable APIs that power data sharing, real-time payments, and consent-driven financial experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain
    Open Banking APIs
    aligned with
    CDR, PSD2, and financial-grade security standards
  • Develop
    payments integration services
    enabling seamless data and transaction exchange across banking partners
  • Implement
    secure consent, identity, and tokenisation workflows
  • Partner with architecture, security, and compliance teams to ensure
    PCI DSS and data protection compliance
  • Drive automation through
    CI/CD pipelines
    , API testing, and observability tooling
  • Optimise system performance and reliability across distributed, high-transaction environments

What We're Looking For

  • Solid background in
    API and microservices development
    (Java, Kotlin, , or .NET Core)
  • Experience with
    Open Banking / CDR frameworks
    and
    payments APIs (PayTo, NPP, BPAY, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of
    OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, mTLS
    , and secure API design
  • Cloud-native engineering experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and
    containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with
    API gateways
    such as Apigee, Kong, or MuleSoft
  • Strong understanding of
    real-time payments
    and event-driven systems
  • Bonus: exposure to
    financial-grade API (FAPI)
    standards and high-availability payment architecture
