About the role

The Senior .NET Developer will deliver end-to-end development services for a state government client. You will work across multiple technical teams to deliver, enhance, and maintain business applications and APIs.

The role involves full lifecycle development, from design to deployment, with a focus on Microsoft technologies. You will contribute to multiple concurrent projects while ensuring technical quality and alignment with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality solutions using Microsoft .NET and Azure technologies.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including design, build, and testing.
  • Integrate business solutions through API development and maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively in agile teams with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Provide technical oversight to ensure alignment with architecture and quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and systems.
  • Support ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and migration projects.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience working in agile environments using DevOps tools and practices.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Proven ability to adapt existing solutions to new technologies and frameworks.
  • Experience delivering solutions for both on-premises and Azure environments.
  • Background working in large, dynamic ICT environments.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum seven years of experience as a Senior .NET Developer (SFIA Level 5 – PROG).
  • Strong experience with:
  • Microsoft .NET 4 – 4.5.x and .NET Core
  • Microsoft Azure Services
  • Microsoft SQL Server (2016–2022)
  • SharePoint 2010–2013
  • Azure DevOps
  • Visual Studio 2019+
  • APIs and web-based systems development
  • Proficient in: C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, TypeScript, T-SQL, XML
  • Understanding of Windows Server, PingFed, and Reporting Services 2016.
  • Strong grasp of all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver high-quality outcomes.
