The Opportunity:
We're seeking a compassionate and experienced leader to guide our Children's Therapeutic Services team. This role blends leadership with hands-on practice, supporting counsellors and directly engaging with children and families. You'll help shape a culture of safety, growth, and healing—grounded in evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and nurture a collaborative, high-performing team
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and professional development
- Maintain a small caseload and support complex cases
- Ensure child-centred, responsive service delivery
- Drive continuous improvement and program evaluation
- Uphold safeguarding and safety policies
What You'll Bring:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or similar
- 3+ years' experience in children's therapeutic services
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Expertise in trauma-informed and attachment-based counselling
- Risk management and stakeholder engagement experience
Desirable:
- Leadership experience & Exposure to the not-for-profit sector
- Familiarity with Commonwealth or Territory-funded programs
Requirements:
- NT Working with Children Check & National Criminal History Check
- NT Driver's License
- Willingness to travel remotely
- Commitment to Safeguarding Children policies
