The Opportunity:

We're seeking a compassionate and experienced leader to guide our Children's Therapeutic Services team. This role blends leadership with hands-on practice, supporting counsellors and directly engaging with children and families. You'll help shape a culture of safety, growth, and healing—grounded in evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and nurture a collaborative, high-performing team
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and professional development
  • Maintain a small caseload and support complex cases
  • Ensure child-centred, responsive service delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement and program evaluation
  • Uphold safeguarding and safety policies

What You'll Bring:

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or similar
  • 3+ years' experience in children's therapeutic services
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Expertise in trauma-informed and attachment-based counselling
  • Risk management and stakeholder engagement experience

Desirable:

  • Leadership experience & Exposure to the not-for-profit sector
  • Familiarity with Commonwealth or Territory-funded programs

Requirements:

  • NT Working with Children Check & National Criminal History Check
  • NT Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel remotely
  • Commitment to Safeguarding Children policies
