Established in 2006, the business specialises in the Building, Civil, Warehousing and Construction industries, and has substantially extended its scope of registration since its inception.

At Star Training and Assessing we take great pride in delivering the highest standard of training to the best of our abilities. We ensure that all students receive the highest level of knowledge and skills in the most flexible, ethical and cost-effective manner. We aim to provide students with "real" experiences and skills which will further their current skills or prepare them for a bright future in their chosen industry.

We currently have four training facilities in the eastern and western suburbs of Melbourne and travel extensively across Melbourne and Regional Victoria, providing specialised civil and construction Training and Assessment.

Due to continued growth, a fantastic opportunity has become available for a proficient and experienced Customer Relations Officer to join our team at our Head office in Rowville.

The Customer Relations Officer will play a key role in promoting customer service and engagement to existing and future clients. The role will involve engaging with both small and large, corporate clients and booking them into on-site Training at their workplace. Reporting to the CEO, this full-time position will include providing high levels of client satisfaction.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced position and provides a great work environment, culture, office amenities and facilities. This role requires you to work Monday – Friday 8am – 4:00pm, with the successful candidate having an immediate start.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Answering phone enquiries and responding to client queries both via phone and email
  • Liaising with clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaising with Trainers and booking them into on-site Training
  • Preparing course materials for Trainers
  • Inputting jobs into Axcelerate- student database
  • Organising Trainers resources, including equipment and company vehicle
  • Booking Trainer's accommodation for regional jobs
  • Identifying sales opportunities and cross selling of courses
  • Liaising with the Business Development team by identifying new business opportunities
  • Providing support as required to the Customer Service team
  • Adherence to Star Training and Assessing's policies and procedures

About You:

To be successful for this position you will be required to have:

  • Great customer service skills, across all channels including written, phone and face to face.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate in a high-pressure environment are essential.
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Able to effectively engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills
  • Professional attitude and presentation
  • Computer literate and strong knowledge of the Microsoft suites
  • Adaptability to change.
  • Good writing skills and knowledge of the English language
  • RTO experience with Axcelerate exposure, will be highly favourable.
