Farmcraft, South East Queensland's largest independently owned group of rural merchandise stores, has been operating since 1992.

We cater for rural property owners running livestock or growing a huge variety of crops, as well as hobby farmers, home gardeners and pet owners.

An opportunity has arisen for a sales & purchasing administration officer to join our team at Coopers Plains in Brisbane.

The Position:

  • Retail sales and enquiries, providing courteous and professional service to all customers
  • Order processing, including point of sale and invoicing
  • Assist with stock control, including inventory monitoring and stocktaking
  • Execute and maintain processes relating to stock movement & integrity
  • Store open & close procedures
  • General duties supporting the branch in the day-to-day operations

Our ideal Applicant:

Our ideal applicant would be a motivated person with a background in retail sales and/or agriculture, with administration experience and a strong eye for detail.

They would ideally also have a rural background or a basic understanding of farming/animal husbandry practises. A Forklift licence (or willingness and ability to obtain one) will be well regarded.

  • Customer service experience
  • High attention to detail with ability to prioritise and execute tasks
  • Experience with Point of Sale transactions
  • Strong communication & effective interpersonal skills
  • Inventory/stock control experience
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Able to work both autonomously & as part of a small team

This is ideally a full time position – 40hrs/week.
