About the Opportunity
We are looking for enthusiastic persons working in industry who have been exposed to Work Health and Safety or Industrial relations as part of your working time and have a range of life skills and experiences. It will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to use their skills and aptitudes to positively influence and shape health and safety and industrial relations in South Australian workplaces.
The primary purpose of the Governance Support Officer is to provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure effective operational governance and compliance within SafeWork SA. The Governance Support Officer will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with governance related activities, providing administrative duties to nominated committees, and supporting the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
About the Business
SafeWork SA is a business unit within Attorney-General's Department and is responsible for providing work, health and safety, public safety, and state-based industrial relations services across South Australia. As a regulator, our Investigators and Inspectors ensure work, health and safety, and public safety standards are met, and appropriate action is taken when breaches of laws are detected. We also help people better understand their work health and safety responsibilities.
