**Remuneration**: ASO4 ($76,561 - $80,256 per annum) + 11.5% Superannuation
The Department for Child Protection is seeking an **Information Release Officer**to join the Legal Services Directorate on a full-time term basis.
**In this role, you will be responsible for**:
- Processing Freedom of Information (FOI) requests in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act.
- Facilitating the effective management of information by ensuring the requirements of various legislations are met within the unit.
- Providing a range of comprehensive administrative support services to senior personnel within the unit, working parties and committees.
- Contributing to the preparation of memos, letters and assist with research, collation and editing of material for relevant reports.
- Providing an effective customer service and case management approach when interacting with clients from diverse backgrounds.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Knowledge of government processes and programs relating to complaint management, subpoenas, information exchange and similar activities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
- Experience working under limited direction within broadly defined guidelines both autonomously and as a member of a team.
- Experience in gathering information from a variety of sources and analysing content to develop solutions to solve issues.
