About the role
Join a Leading Community Service Making a Difference in Townsville
The Women's Centre is a long-established, well-known, and rapidly expanding community service that has been advocating against gender-based violence for over 40 years. As our service continues to grow, we are seeking a Service Delivery Coordinator to join our leadership team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this pivotal role will oversee the design, development, and delivery of our service programmes. You will lead and support our Service Delivery Team Leaders, ensuring high-quality outcomes and programmes that deliver the greatest impact for women who access our service.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor-level qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or equivalent), post graduate qualifications or additional professional development in Community Services, Human Services or Business Management will also be highly regarded.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a management role within social services or similar programmes.
- Proven ability to provide leadership, mentoring and human resources support to teams.
What We Offer:
- Remuneration in accordance with the SCHCADS Award 2010 – Level 8
- Above-award entitlements including additional annual leave and personal/carer's leave
- Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate
If you're passionate about social justice and ready to lead impactful community programmes, we'd love to hear from you.
What our team members say about working at The Women's Centre:
I have never felt more empowered as a woman, working in a feminist space with other likeminded women. I feel exceptionally supported as a worker and am offered ample opportunities for professional development, particularly involving trauma-informed practices.
My personal growth and professional development whilst working for The Women's Centre has been immeasurable. Working within a feminist framework to validate women's stories, advocate for women and raise awareness of women's rights has been invaluable and will forever be a part of who I am.
I've been offered so many opportunities in my time at The Women's Centre. I've worked in a variety of roles which have developed my knowledge and skills as a case worker, a therapeutic counsellor, in consultation, advocacy and leadership. Participating in an innovative and best practice response to sexual violence (the only one in the state), has been an incredible opportunity. It is an absolute privilege to get to work with remarkable women in these ways every day.
