Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and supporting the planning and execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and related documentation to ensure compliance with regulations, codes of practice, and project requirements
  • Assist construction managers, architects, and surveyors in planning and organization of construction activities.​
  • Interpret plans, building regulations, and codes of practice for compliance and effective execution.​
  • Prepare precise construction cost estimates, including time scales, labor, materials, and other requirements.​
  • Inspect works and materials to ensure alignment with specifications, regulations, and standards.​
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including bills of quantities, cost schedules, plans, maps, charts, and drawings.
  • Assist project stakeholders and construction professionals in collecting and validating data for preparing cost estimates, plans, and project documentation.
  • Monitor and update project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, tracking changes, variations, and potential budget overruns.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 1 Year Experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
  • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or a related field
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
