BUILDING ESTIMATOR – TOWNSVILLE

Building Estimator role based in Townsville (Commercial building and property maintenance)

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Permanent role with our client
  • Monday – Friday 40 hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES but not limited to the following;

  • Estimating and tendering for projects from 5K through to million dollar projects.
  • Quoting across all trades- plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring, landscaping, carpentry etc.
  • Required to attend client sites for to assist with tenders
  • Operation of Systems; Simpro ,Bluebeam, Autocad and Procore.
  • Work independently and with team to produce accurate and well detailed estimates and quotations
  • Ability to supply and mark-up drawings clearly for project managers
  • Maintain estimating databases and records
  • Complete tenders in accordance with project time lines & ensure these time lines align with the overall project schedule
  • Communicate with Project Managers and external stakeholders in a professional and positive manner

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Be proficient in estimating/computer software such as Simpro ,Bluebeam, Autocad and Procore.
  • Capability of completing accurate and detailed take off's - systematically quantifying all materials and labour required for a project from blueprints and specifications
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in daily works
  • Minimum 3 years previous estimating experience in Commercial Construction / Shopfitting background
  • Able to read, markup and interpret building plans and drawings
  • Willingness to undergo a Police Check and obtain a QLD Blue Card
