Are you a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for finance and collaboration? We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic team and play a key role in our accounts receivable administration, cash collection, and credit policy processes.

You will be instrumental in maintaining smooth financial operations and supporting our Credit Manager. Your ability to build strong relationships, solve problems, and stay organised will help drive our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer payment receipts with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor customer deductions, short payments, and credit claims - follow through to resolution.
  • Liaise with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to resolve account queries and overdue balances.
  • Recommend credit limit and hold changes to support sales while safeguarding financial interests.
  • Uphold our credit policy by ensuring customer payment terms are met.
  • Negotiate and manage payment plans for accounts not meeting agreed terms.
  • Maintain and update customer credit files, agreements, and legal documentation.
  • Keep customer master data and ERP systems current.
  • Provide backup support to the Credit Manager and assist with general administration.
  • Foster a professional, harmonious, and safety-conscious workplace culture.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in accounts receivable and credit administration.
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and financial accounting software.
