Casual Administration Officer – General Practice

We are seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our friendly and professional team in a busy General Practice setting.

This casual position offers variable hours each week, with shifts and days subject to change based on workplace needs. Some shifts will be short, and you must be available to work as late as 6:30pm on occasion.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of medical reception or healthcare administration experience
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Excellent grammar, advanced keyboard skills, and proven accuracy in data entry

Working knowledge of the following applications

  • Medicare
  • DVA
  • Workcover Billing.
  • Private Billing
  • Microsoft suite.

Personal Attributes

Must have excellent customer service with a kind and patient manner and be a team person. Accuracy is essential. Experience in Best Practice and Certificate III in Business Administration (preferred) or equivalent experience in medical administration would be an advantage.

Must have Australian work rights or valid work visa.

This workplace has an expectation for staff to be well-groomed and to follow hygiene practices.
