City of Monash is a dynamic organisation committed to providing excellence in service delivery. Located in the eastern region, Monash is a cosmopolitan and culturally diverse city, close to the demographic centre of Melbourne.

The Community Safety and Amenity Department consist of four teams: Community Laws, Public Health, Business Support and Contracts & Strategy. The primary role of these teams is to ensure that regulatory controls are complied with to help Monash residents enjoy amenity, maintain a safe environment and manage issues that may cause a nuisance.

About the Position

The Business Support Officer is a valued team member within our Business Support Team that effectively support customers and the department`s programs and business units.

Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a fast paced administrative environment, preferably in Local Government
  • Intermediate to high level skills in a variety of software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and aptitude for new software systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of business and internal control systems
  • Experience in providing high quality customer service
  • Qualifications in, or working towards a qualification in, office management or business administration
Requirements
  • Satisfactory National Police Check
