About the role

Join our dynamic team at Support24x7 as a Disability Support Worker in Metro Areas.

In this casual role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and participate actively in their community.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote client well-being and community engagement
  • Advocating for client rights and ensuring their needs are met with empathy and respect
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on client progress and support requirements
  • Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement individualised support plans
  • Ensuring a safe and secure environment for clients by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • A passionate and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Relevant qualifications in the community services or disability support field
  • Experience in providing person-centred care and promoting independence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commitment to upholding the principles of dignity, respect, and inclusion
