
Senior Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a Senior Medical Receptionist to join our team at Pitstop Health.
Position Description:
- Permanent full-time.
- 76 hours per fortnight, Monday - Friday with flexible hours negotiable.
- Medical Receptionist experience is highly favoured.
Skills And Experience:
- Leadership & Operational Oversight
- Lead front-of-house operations to ensure smooth patient flow and on-time clinics.
- Maintain and continuously improve administrative procedures and SOPs.
- Mentor, train, and support junior reception staff to build team capability.
- Technical & Administrative Competence
- Oversee daily billing, reconciliation, Medicare claiming, and payment processing with accuracy.
- Manage complex scheduling, including recalls, waitlists, and multi-clinician bookings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in practice management software, Microsoft Office, and related systems.
- Accuracy, Organisation & Confidentiality
- Apply high attention to detail in data entry, record-keeping, and documentation.
- Prioritise competing tasks effectively and meet deadlines with consistency.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills
- Deliver exceptional customer service with clear, professional communication.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and colleagues in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Operate independently while contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.
Remuneration:
- Hourly rate ranging from $ superannuation based on experience and qualifications [FTE $70, ,500 including superannuation].

Requirements
- Vaccination against Covid-19, a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation.
- National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
- Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
