About the role

We are seeking an experienced and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team at Strathpine Family Medical Centre. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical administration and customer service, as well as the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Handling patient enquiries, bookings, and rescheduling appointments
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Handling cash and electronic payments for consultations and treatments
  • Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required
  • Ensuring the reception area is well-presented and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Adhering to all relevant medical and privacy regulations

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional manner
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using Practsoft and Medical Director
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to medical regulations
