This role is central to promoting Asahi Beverages' public policy agenda, managing regulatory compliance, enhancing our reputation, instilling a culture of responsible drinking, and creating commercial value.
As Corporate Affairs Manager – Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs, you will shape Asahi's approach to public policy and regulatory matters across Australia and New Zealand, working with government, industry, and internal stakeholders to drive responsible and sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage regulatory compliance for the development and promotion of alcohol products.
- Develop and deliver government submissions on public policy matters.
- Lead training for business teams on regulatory codes and obligations.
- Manage Asahi's Responsible Drinking programs.
- Partner with industry associations to strengthen reputation and develop campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing, legal, sustainability and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging that promotes the business and our brands.
- Contribute to media engagement opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree qualified, ideally with a background in law, public policy, communications or corporate affairs.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in regulatory, corporate affairs, communications or government environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
- Skilled in interpreting regulatory codes and drafting high-quality government submissions.
- Confident in dealing with complexity, ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Experience delivering training and building capability across business teams.
- Knowledge of media engagement and strong awareness of current affairs and social context.
