What will your typical day look like?
The Manager supports the development and implementation of the AP Public Policy Centre strategy. This includes supporting core deliverables (bolded points are key focus areas) such as:
Leadership briefings
Regular policy updates
Project management of AP PPC POVs/ thought leadership papers, research reports, supporting client presentations or webinars
Supporting the AP PPC with desktop research and analysis of public policy trends, socio-economic issues and government policy programs
Engaging with senior AP leaders, participating firm public policy leaders, internal knowledge centres and other subject matter experts
About the team
Public policy is an increasingly important element of Deloitte's agenda to make meaningful impact in the communities in which we live and work. Our efforts are anchored on our responsibility to engage in wider debate on issues facing business, government and society.
The Asia Pacific Public Policy Centre was established in June 2024 and is a core component of the overall Asia Pacific Public Policy program, led by the AP Public Policy Leader (AP PPL) Aloysius Teh. The Operational Program lead for the AP PPC is Anna Tehan. The AP PPC's role is to enhance to amplify Deloitte's strategic and business interests, while demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the public interest. It works on key policy frameworks and issues that help improve laws and regulations for better governance, ease of doing business, business growth and competitiveness across the region.
The AP PPC also leads AP-level public interest and policy scanning, filter and response, working with Deloitte firms in the region to develop and activate relevant key voice issues. Its key deliverables include providing perspectives, consider implications and opportunities for clients and Deloitte through issues analysis, provide spotlight on economic progress and growth outlook for our AP region, and annually profile 1-2 public policy. Points of Views / Insights publications on key issue areas.

You may have all or some of the following skills/experience:
Over 8 years of public policy or corporate affairs / corporate communications experience within a professional services environment
Solid understanding the working of governments, including in community engagement
Executive leadership level communication and writing skills
Proven track record working across cultures within Asia Pacific
Strong listening and emotional intelligence skills
Stakeholder engagement experience especially with senior business, government and non-government leaders
Project management skills
Research skills
Deloitte or similar professional services organisational experience a bonus
