Cineplex Australia is a family owned, independent cinema chain that has been keeping cinemas affordable for Queenslanders since the 1960's. Our goal is to keep the magic of the cinema experience accessible to everyone

About the Role

As a duty Manager, you'll manage the day-to-day operations of the cinema, ensuring that everything runs smoothly—from staffing and scheduling to customer service and compliance. You'll be the driving force behind team motivation, operational excellence, and audience satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead, train, and inspire a team of cinema staff and supervisors

·       Manage daily operations including ticketing, concessions, and projection

·       Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests

·       Monitor KPIs to meet financial targets

·       Handle customer feedback professionally and proactively

·       Ensure compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations

What We're Looking For

·       Previous management experience (cinema, hospitality, retail or entertainment preferred)

·       Excellent leadership and people management skills

·       Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

·       Passion for film and delivering exceptional guest experiences

·       Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

·       Knowledge of POS systems and reporting
