Documentation Officer

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a detail-oriented Documentation Officer with strong document control and technical writing experience in a project-driven environment. The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and ideally have ERP and SolidWorks skills, with a collaborative and team-focussed attitude.

Minimum requirements:

  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; CAD certification desirable
  • Experience in document control and process management
  • Experience in a project environment
  • ERP system experience
  • Ability to create and maintain document databases
  • Experience working effectively in a team environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Create detailed work instructions for the production facility
  • Develop CAD block diagram drawings and mechanical/electrical drawings for production and fabrication
  • Produce user manuals, product specification sheets, project documentation, PDFs and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Collaborate with procurement for part and pricing efficiencies
  • Check and validate all documentation for accuracy, including numbering, revisions, format and legibility
  • Maintain documentation standards compliant with client and internal procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in document control systems and processes
  • Support engineering and production teams with accurate and timely document control and technical drawings

Desirable:

  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software
  • Knowledge of RF technology and wireless communications
