Step Into a Key Leadership Role With Moreton Hospitality
An exciting opportunity awaits an ambitious and passionate Sous Chef to join the talented kitchen team across two of Broadbeach's most dynamic venues; The Beach Hotel Broadbeach and Cora Restaurant.
Backed by the strength and vision of Moreton Hospitality, this is a pivotal role for a strong second-in-charge looking to elevate their culinary leadership and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment.
As Sous Chef, you'll work hand-in-hand with our Head Chef and front-of-house leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences through outstanding food, smooth service, and a positive, productive kitchen culture.
The Role – Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations across both venues
- Consistently deliver superior food quality and guest satisfaction
- Coordinate kitchen prep and service to maximise profitability and minimise food waste
- Assist in designing new menu items in line with each venue's brand identity
- Oversee purchasing, stock control, and supplier relationships – with a focus on fresh, local produce
- Act as the Head Chef's right hand - confidently leading the team in their absence
- Work collaboratively with FOH leaders to ensure seamless service and communication
- Manage equipment upkeep and report any maintenance requirements promptly
- Support the planning and execution of event menus and team briefings
- Ensure full compliance with WHS, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen at all times

The Beach Hotel Broadbeach

Restaurant Cora
A modern bistro-style space offering fresh, seasonal dishes in a laid-back, welcoming setting. Perfect for long lunches and relaxed dinners, Cora brings creativity and comfort together through its ever-evolving menu and warm hospitality.
Both venues operate from a central kitchen, ensuring consistency, collaboration, and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP ready to step up in a high-volume, quality-driven venue
- A calm, solutions-focused approach and strong leadership presence
- Sound understanding of stock control, food safety, and BOH operations
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
- Passion for great food, great people, and creating great experiences
- A hands-on leader who sets the tone and leads by example
