Description:

As a Kitchen Services Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting our culinary and stewarding operations, ensuring everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly. You'll be a hands-on leader who sets the pace, supports your team, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety. THE ROLE

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Provide clear instructions, hands-on training, and ongoing support to the kitchen services team

Act as the key contact between Kitchen Services and the Sous Chef or Executive Chef to ensure smooth and efficient service

Oversee the cleaning and sanitising of all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and glassware. Ensure items are returned to the correct location promptly and in excellent condition

Take the lead on heavy-duty cleaning and ensure all kitchen areas meet the highest hygiene and safety standards

Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and promptly report any hazards or faults

Ensure food safety and cleaning records are completed accurately and kept up to date

Work closely with the Operations team to fulfil equipment requisitions for events and functions

Supervise team members to ensure duties are completed efficiently, safely, and to standard

Manage the safe handling, storage, and distribution of kitchen equipment and supplies

Support food preparation and kitchen clean-up as required

Receive and correctly store food deliveries in line with hygiene standards

ABOUT YOU

You have solid experience in a fast-paced kitchen, stewarding, or food handling environment and are ready to take the next step into leadership

You're flexible and available to work across a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends

You bring a good understanding of food hygiene, WHS, and kitchen safety procedures

You're a team player with the confidence to lead others, provide direction, and support success

You show initiative, sound judgement, and can work independently with minimal supervision

You're committed to delivering high-quality service and supporting your team and chefs alike

Your energy, enthusiasm, and can-do attitude help keep things running smoothly

You take a hands-on, adaptable, and positive approach to every shift
