We are looking for Project Support Officer to help support Queensland's maritime infrastructure through your strong project coordination, reporting and administration skills.

  • Immediate Start – Until 30 April 2026 ((Extensions likely, up to 24 months total)
  • Brisbane Location
  • $58/hr + Super

About the role:

Hudson is partnering with a leading state government department to recruit a Project Support Officer to assist the delivery of Queensland's boating infrastructure maintenance and capital works program.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide project and administrative support across maintenance and capital works streams
  • Maintain and track project schedules, milestones and deliverables
  • Prepare and review project documentation, meeting minutes and financial summaries
  • Support procurement and contract administration, including purchase orders and tracking deliverables
  • Assist with project expenditure monitoring and financial reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate records and document control in accordance with departmental standards
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops and site visits, including logistics and reporting
  • Contribute to governance reporting and continuous improvement across the program

About you You will ideally have:

  • 3+ years' experience in project or program administration within a government or infrastructure setting
  • Working knowledge of tools such as MS Project, 3PCM, SAP or similar
  • Understanding of project governance, procurement and financial tracking processes
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with TMR or other Queensland Government systems (advantageous)
