Hume Doors & Timber (QLD) Pty Ltd,a 100% Australian owned company, is Australia's leading Door Manufacturer and Timber Wholesaler, marketing its products to the hardware, timber and building industries throughout Australia and Overseas.

We are currently looking for a qualified Supervisor to work in our Kingston factory.  This is a hands on role, where you will have major impact on machine productivity, quality control and operational efficiency.

The company which has an enviable reputation for quality, affordability and functional design, employs over 1000 people nationally, and over 300 people across sites in QLD and NT.

Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will join a team of department supervisors who between them supervise over 100 production employees across multiple departments.

To be successful for this role, you MUST:

  • Have experience working within a factory environment
  • Follow written instruction to select correct materials from stock
  • Conduct periodic quality checks
  • Conduct minor machinery maintenance
  • Experience managing a team

In determining suitability for the role, the following criteria are considered essential:

  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Capable of undertaking manual handling relating to the role
  • Comply with workplace health and safety requirements
  • Comply with quality requirements
  • Have a good attendance record

The following criteria are considered desirable:

  • Computer skills
  • Current Forklift Licence

The role is being offered on a Full-Time basis between the hours of 5:30am and 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Should you be selected to join our dedicated team, your role would include assisting in the manufacturing of our leading edge door designs and assisting in the overall management of the departments referred to above.
