About the role

Are you a practical, boots-on-the-ground leader who thrives in the field? We are looking for an experienced Civil Supervisor who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and work alongside their crew to get the job done.

This is not a desk job – it's a role for someone who leads by example, stays hands-on in the field, and ensures projects are delivered to a high standard of safety, quality, and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and lead a team of civil construction workers, including operators, labourers, and subcontractors
  • Plan, organise, and schedule work activities to meet project timelines and deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
  • Monitor and report on project progress, quality, and budget
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Civil Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry
  • Proven ability to supervise and work hands-on in the field – not just behind the scenes.
  • Strong knowledge of civil works (e.g., earthworks, subdivisions, drainage, road construction).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Flexibility to work on various construction sites and adapt to changing job requirements
  • White Card, current Driver's Licence (MR/HR advantageous).
