Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) is the national peak body representing professional fundraising in Australia and New Zealand. Our mission is to build a vibrant community of best-practice fundraisers and a culture of professional fundraising which we do through education and training, support and advocacy, and the promotion and protection of the fundraising sector.

FIA is seeking a Membership Services Coordinator to deliver exceptional support to our members. As the first point of contact, you'll provide a warm, professional experience while managing onboarding, renewals, engagement, and accurate CRM records. Working closely with the Membership team, you'll help ensure a seamless member journey and contribute to key activities.

This role is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career to grow their skills in membership services.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide friendly and professional support to members, ensuring a positive experience with every interaction
  • Assist with membership renewals, onboarding, and day-to-day account updates
  • Maintain accurate member records and ensure data integrity in the CRM
  • Contribute to membership growth by supporting outreach and engagement activities
  • Monitor data quality and support process improvements to enhance member services
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to support member-focused initiatives and events

What does our ideal candidate look like?

  • You must have a minimum of 2 years of customer or member service experience in a professional environment
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service to members externally in line with organisational requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident verbal communicator with a warm phone manner and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, respond clearly to enquiries, and confidently promote the value of membership
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative small team and independently to meet deadlines and KPI's
  • Understanding of accurate data management
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to manage shifting business priorities
  • Full Australian work rights are mandatory for this position
