Salary: 60,000 to 63,000 + super + salary packaging, depends on the experience

ASHM is a peak professional body representing healthcare professionals working in HIV, BBVs, and sexual and reproductive health. About You
As Project Officer, you'll coordinate national healthcare education and policy initiatives, working closely with specialist healthcare professionals and expert committees. You'll help drive impactful work in HIV, viral hepatitis, STIs, and other BBVs. In this dynamic role, you'll coordinate projects from planning through to evaluation, engage with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to business development and funding proposals. We're looking for someone with strong public health knowledge and experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate national healthcare education and training programs, including events, workshops, and webinars.
- Engage with clinicians, trainers, and key stakeholders to support program delivery and development.
- Provide secretariat and logistical support to committees, working groups, and reference groups.
- Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of educational resources and content.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring delivery within scope and deadlines.
- Support program planning, implementation, and evaluation, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in broader divisional initiatives and special projects as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in health, education, business, or related fields.
- Experience in project coordination, preferably in public or sexual health (BBV/STI sector desirable).
- Experience in developing and delivering education programs, including online content.
- Understanding of HIV, viral hepatitis, STIs, and key public health principles.
- Familiarity with not-for-profit, government, or NGO environments.
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong project coordination and time management skills.
- Ability to deliver education programs aligned with organisational goals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Skilled in collaboration, problem-solving, and working across multiple projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project/learning management systems.
- Committed to ethical, inclusive, and culturally responsive practices in line with ASHM's values.
