About the role

Paw Park Pet Resort in Woodburn NSW 2472 is seeking a casual Animal Attendant to join our growing team. As an Animal Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to the pets under our supervision, ensuring their comfort, safety and wellbeing throughout their stay with us.

What you'll be doing

  1. Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures, kennels and play areas to the highest standards of hygiene
  2. Monitoring animal behaviour and health, and reporting any concerns
  3. Assisting with bathing, grooming and exercising the animals as needed
  4. Providing attentive and compassionate care to all animals in our resort
  5. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to animal care
  6. Adhering to all company policies, procedures and animal welfare regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a pet care or veterinary setting
  2. Some pet ownership experience is preferred for this position
  3. Strong animal handling skills and the ability to remain calm and patient in all situations
  4. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with pet owners
  5. A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing exceptional care
  6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions
  7. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays
  8. Australian work rights are required for this position
  9. Candidates must be 21 years of age or older
  10. This role requires heavy lifting capabilities due to the physically demanding nature of animal care work
