Job Description for IP Network Architect
Core Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation:
Architectural design, High level and low-level design of an IP network in telco industry - Device Configuration and Management:
Solution design of connectivity and interworking of
routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. - Network Security:
Design and
Implementing network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network access control (NAC). - Documentation and Standardization:
Documenting network configurations, procedures, and policies, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. - Collaboration:
Working with other network designers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to ensure network requirements are met.
Knowledge and Skills:
- IP Protocol Knowledge:
A strong understanding of IP protocols, networking concepts, and technologies. - Network Design and Architecture:
Experience in designing and implementing network architectures for various environments. - Data Center
:
Data Centre fabric knowledge and experience in architecting including ACI, EVPN-VXLAN - Security Knowledge:
Knowledge of network security principles and technologies. - Communication and Collaboration:
Good communication and collaboration skills to work with other IT professionals and stakeholders.
Experience and Education:
- Education:
A bachelor's degree or Tertiary qualification in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or a related field is often required. - Certifications:
Industry certifications, such as Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP), can be beneficial.

Performing regular network maintenance, upgrades, and patching to ensure system stability and security. - Security Measures:
Implementing security measures to protect network infrastructure and data from unauthorized access.
