Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join an established team and provide additional capacity across critical infrastructure initiatives. This role is focused on traditional on-premise infrastructure (not cloud) and will be instrumental in delivering solutions across Windows 11 upgrades, load balancing, infrastructure refresh, and network segmentation. The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts, project managers, enterprise architects, and operational leads to shape and deliver infrastructure solutions in a regulated environment.

Location: Sydney CBD & Western Sydney offices

Responsibilities

  • Deliver infrastructure architecture solutions across multiple initiatives, including Windows 11 end-user upgrade projects, Load balancer upgrades, Infrastructure refresh (Windows Server / database), and Network segmentation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain solution architecture documentation in line with project needs.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects to shape ideas into deliverable solutions.
  • Partner with technical leads across networks, servers, and databases to align architecture with operational needs.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to ensure infrastructure solutions meet regulatory and operational standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in infrastructure and server architecture, with prior hands-on experience.
  • Proven track record in solution architecture within infrastructure-focused programs.
  • Experience with Windows 11 upgrades, Windows Server 2016 environments, load balancer technologies, and network segmentation.
  • Solid understanding of regulated environments, with the ability to ensure compliance in solution design.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to bridge technical and business requirements.
  • Prior experience in on-premise environments (non-cloud) essential.
  • Exposure to large, complex infrastructure programs within utilities, government, or other regulated sectors highly regarded.
