Are you a data-driven guru with a passion for optimizing productivity? Do you thrive on transforming complex workforce data into clear, actionable strategies?
We are seeking a dedicated Workforce Planning Analyst to join our "Simpler for Stores" team. You will be instrumental in leading workforce and labour analysis, ensuring our 12,000 team members across 350+ retail sites have the right labour at the right time to thrive.

This role is about using data-driven insights to maintain and improve the efficiency of our retail teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining direct wage labour hours based on engineered labour standards and a bottom-up budgeting methodology for 350+ retail sites.
- Translating complex business problems into clear workforce planning and management solutions, leveraging your strongbusiness and financial acumen.
- Designing and producing regular, simplified reporting for Operations teams to help them easily identify trends and opportunities to improve cost and efficiency.
- Creating actionable productivity insights by identifying trends and areas for improvement across our brands, supporting the "Simpler for Stores" team and wider business partners.
- Supporting and challenging the delivery of labour hours budget outcomes, ensuring compliant rostering through meticulous data, analytics, and trend analysis.
- Building and supporting workforce planning for events and long-term projections of team requirements.
- Supporting Brand Finance and Operations teams to pinpoint underlying performance opportunities that are impacting wage budget delivery.
What do we need from you
Now let's talk about you:
You're a highly analytical thinker with the technical skills to back it up.
- Previous experience in operational based workforce planning roles; exposure to retail is desired but not essential (3-5 Years)
- Advanced analytical & modeling skills, with experience in linking data to business problems with experience in SQL and Tableau with Python being desired
- Comprehensive understanding of workforce planning management methodologies, systems and processes, for retail or other operational environments.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting workforce planning requirements based on bottom up methodologies for events and long term projections.
- Good Presentation and communication skills with the ability to manage cross functional outcomes
- Ability to understand and interpret wage reporting to identify key drivers and productivity impacts.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to work independently, and across video conferencing as appropriate.
- Able to travel interstate and within the state.
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree within Finance, Commerce, Engineering or similar field
Desirable
- Exposure to working with cloud based data platforms; Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in working within a Project and Transformation environment with an ability to engage and influence key stakeholders, and work extensively with external business suppliers.
- Understanding of Time and attendance systems and reporting.
- Large format or convenience retail operational experience
- Ability to understand and effectively interpret Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
