We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive
Human Resources Manager
to join our high-performing team and support our operations through strategic HR initiatives, hands-on advisory, and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the General Manager HR & HSEQ, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing key HR strategies that align with the company's strategic business plan.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with legislation and company objectives.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, support retention initiatives, and maintain strong agency partnerships.
- Assist with organisational development programs including succession planning, training coordination, team building, and performance reviews.
- Ensure effective reward and recognition programs are in place, including salary benchmarking and performance appraisal facilitation.
- Manage or support HR training workshops on key topics such as performance management, diversity, and industrial relations.
- Lead or assist in investigations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair process and minimal risk.
- Collaborate with managers and union representatives to manage industrial relations matters and support enterprise bargaining agreements.
- Monitor HR KPIs, prepare reports for leadership, and identify trends to inform continuous improvement and change initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant awards, EBAs, and employment legislation, including privacy, EEO, and diversity requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships across the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor and promoting a culture of open communication and high performance.
Skills & Experience For Success
- Human Resources Expertise: 3–5 years of demonstrated experience as a Human Resources Generalist, with broad exposure across the full employee lifecycle.
- Standalone Role Capability: Proven ability to operate autonomously in a standalone HR capacity within a multi-site organisational structure (experience in this area is highly regarded).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations, and contemporary HR practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Customer-Centric Approach: High level of internal client focus, combined with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Communication Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
- Administrative Excellence: Strong administrative and organisational skills, with a demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Results-Driven: Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, delivering consistent results while managing competing priorities.
