Affectionately known as The Chocolate and Nougat Factory is seeking a proactive, professional and dedicated Quality Assurance Officer to maintain our food safety standards.

Location: West Gosford NSW

To be successful in this role you will be required to:

Conduct routine and non-routine product quality tests to ensure ongoing compliance to SQF, HACCP

Implement quality assurance standards and procedures;

Interpret quality assurance standards and procedures

Conducting label reviews for product and raw materials and packaging

Support with internal and external food safety audits for our site

Assist with investigations of customer complaints and non-conformance issues

Implement and monitor corrective and preventative action

Coordinate training activities to drive quality, food safety, work health and safety, environmental and quality assurance standards

Preparation of routine and non-routine reports to communicate outcomes of quality system

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

Knowledge of HACCP and SQF standards essential

Technical understanding of Quality and Food Safety

Proficient document control skills

Strong verbal and written skills

Good computer literacy – Excel, Word, Outlook

Attention to detail is a must

Experience within the fast moving consumer goods industry preferred

The Candidate can be in progress studying within the food/Microbiology/Science/Nutrition/Chemistry/ or Laboratory qualifications or equivalent
