Role Description
We are looking for a full-time experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our high-performing team in a dynamic and fast-paced school uniform and clothing manufacturing business.
This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the consistent quality of our garments from design to delivery. You will lead quality assurance processes, collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturing partners, and drive continuous improvement across all production stages.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage quality assurance systems across all garment production phases with a sharp attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards for fabrics, garment construction, patterns, and trims.
- Liaise with offshore factories to communicate detailed fit, pattern, construction and workmanship comments and/or concerns.
- Match and maintain benchmarks for fabric colours and quality.
- Develop, maintain and communicate Alinta SOPs to ensure technical accuracy.
- Approve styles for bulk production and ensure consistency of fit and finish.
- Troubleshoot quality issues, as well as advise on, and oversee in-house and independent testing and approvals.
- Lead and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Manage multiple tasks and respond effectively to planned and unplanned scenarios
- Manage QA workflow to align with department priorities.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualification in fashion QA/garment technology and/or extensive knowledge in a related industry.
- 3+ years' experience in QA technician role within apparel or textile manufacturing.
- Advanced technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern making and grading.
- Skilled in applying colour standards and matching protocols to maintain visual consistency across materials, trims and embellishments.
- Strong Understanding of industry quality standards including testing and labelling requirements.
- Confident in MS365 Suite (Word, Excel) and the ability to learn and adapt to our custom-built platform.
- Self-managed and highly motivated with excellent time management skills.
- Effective planning and organisational abilities.
- Clear and confident communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated team leadership and staff development experience.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment.
