About the role

MGDD is seeking a talented part-time Graphic Designer to join their dynamic team in Southport, Queensland. As the Graphic Designer, you will specialise in urban design and landscape architecture, you will play a pivotal role in creating visually striking designs and content that aligns with a wide range of company projects and objectives, while ensuring the company's brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create visually appealing and innovative concept designs for project, construction, print & digital media and website elements.

  • Collaborate with the project team to develop design concepts and strategies that effectively deliver livable and vibrant spaces while communicating the company's brand awareness.

  • Use graphic design software and tools to manipulate and enhance images, create illustrations, and design layouts.

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Work closely with clients or stakeholders to understand their design requirements and provide creative solutions.

  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies to continually improve design quality and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in graphic design, urban design, landscape architecture, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.

  • Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant tools.

  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and interpret design briefs.

Desired Skills

  • AutoCAD and contract documentation

  • Sketch-Up and/or 3D modelling programs

  • Construction knowledge

  • Plant/Landscaping knowledge

  • Hand drawing and rendering skills
