ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to recent expansion into the inner Melbourne suburb of Abbotsford, we are now able to offer a unique opportunity for you to become part of our store management team. The role offers autonomy and responsibility to the right person, backed up by dedicated, ongoing and experienced management support.

Previous self-storage experience will be very highly regarded, as will proven skills in sales or business development.

This role is ideally suited to a local resident who:-

  • has good knowledge of areas surrounding Abbotsford
  • has a genuine passion for providing memorable customer service and support
  • enjoys a mix of hands-on operational and customer-facing tasks
  • has enthusiasm and a great attitude to work
  • displays solid attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • can demonstrate proven computer and literacy skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • has strong communication skills with the ability to solve problems, resolve conflict and build lasting customer relationships.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

This is an interesting and varied full time role that requires you to work Saturdays plus four other days during the week. Drawing on your excellent customer service, admin and sales skills you will:-

  • handle enquiries with a smile from existing and new customers, and provide excellent customer service.
  • maintain accurate customer and inventory records in our systems
  • manage monthly rental collection and overdue accounts in line with procedures
  • ensure the facility is clean, safe and well-presented at all times.
  • be the face of the business by delivering friendly, confident customer care.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

To be successful in this role you will need a range of practical skills and experience including:-

  • prior experience in a retail or customer-facing industry where customer satisfaction is paramount (prior self-storage experience will be highly regarded)
  • fast accurate typing
  • flawless written and spoken English
  • a clear, confident telephone manner
  • strong admin and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • experience in (or an aptitude to learn/use/update) our CRM software.
  • A valid driver's licence
