About the role

As the Accounts and Office Manager at 5MI Aust Pty Ltd, you will play a vital role in overseeing the smooth day-to-day operations of our office in Fyshwick, ACT. This full-time position will see you responsible for leading a team of professionals to ensure the efficient functioning of our busy workplace.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage financial tasks such as invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing (Knowledge of Xero)
  2. Manage and oversee all administrative functions, supervise and mentor the team, providing guidance and support to ensure they are productive and effective
  3. Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement
  4. Manage the office budget and monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness
  5. Serve as the primary point of contact for all office-related inquiries and issues
  6. Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and implement office efficiency initiatives

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Accounts / office management or administrative supervisory role
  2. Proven track record of leading and developing a team of administrative professionals
  3. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  5. Proficient in using Xero, Microsoft Office suite and other office management software
  6. A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on Xero experience is required
  7. Familiarity with office policies, procedures, and best practices in the administration and office support industry
  8. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
