About the role

Altona Meadows Dental Clinic is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Receptionist/Dental Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a full-time role based in our clinic located in Altona Meadows, Victoria. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the smooth running of our dental practice.

What you'll be doing

  1. Greeting patients and managing the reception area in a professional and welcoming manner.
  2. Scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and managing patient records.
  3. Assisting the dental team by preparing treatment rooms, sterilising instruments, and providing chairside support.
  4. Maintaining strict infection control protocols and ensuring the clinic meets all regulatory requirements.
  5. Handling financial transactions, including processing payments and managing patient accounts.
  6. Providing administrative support to the dental team as needed.

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience and proficiency in a dental or healthcare setting, preferably as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist.
  2. Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and the dental team.
  3. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks.
  4. Proficiency in using dental software and standard office equipment.
  5. A passion for healthcare and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
