Robert Half is working with a highly regarded organisation based in the Western Perth suburbs. With a strong presence in their industry and a commitment to delivering excellence, this business is entering a busy period and is looking to bring on board a Coordinator of Financial Accounting to support the finance team through a 4-month temporary assignment.

The Role:

Financial Accounting
  • Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage asset accounting, revaluations, and grant portfolio reconciliations and applications.
  • Lead period-end processes and prepare accurate financial management reports.
  • Ensure integrity across ledgers through regular reconciliations.
Treasury Operations
  • Optimize the City's investment portfolio in collaboration with financial institutions.
  • Oversee cash flow, reserve balances, staff purchase cards, and loan management.
  • Maintain efficient banking arrangements and mitigate financial risks.
Audit and Compliance
  • Prepare annual financial statements and manage external and internal audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and internal policies.
  • Implement audit recommendations and proactively mitigate financial risks.
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns promptly.
About You:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • CPA/CA qualifications (mandatory).
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting and statutory requirements.
  • A solid background in financial accounting, audit, and treasury operations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and keen attention to detail.
