Job Title: Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records using financial software
  • Reconciling accounts receivable ledger and Eftpos/Credit Card receivables
  • General cash handling duties including receipting payments and banking
  • Data entry into accounting system and preparation of accounts receivable related journal

In addition, you will provide financial advice to staff and students, produce invoices for all business units, balance sheet reconciliations, and end-of-month duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Year 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Certificate IV in bookkeeping or equivalent qualification
  • Significant experience in accounting at an appropriate level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial accounting practices and procedures
  • Familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards and Principles
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
