Description
- Deliver accurate and timely financial and statutory reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Prepare and review financial statements, journals, reconciliations, and monthly/year-end reports
- Support internal and external audit processes and implement recommendations to strengthen financial governance
- Ensure compliance with taxation requirements including BAS, FBT, and TPAR reporting
- Contribute to asset management accounting, including capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations
- Maintain data integrity across financial and asset systems and support strategic financial planning
Profile
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards membership
- Extensive experience in financial accounting, ideally with exposure to local government, public sector or complex NFP environment
- Strong understanding of asset management accounting and internal control principles
- Proficient in financial systems, spreadsheets, and data analysis
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
