Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Financial Accountant to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will have the chance to work under the guidance of an experienced Financial Controller and alongside a small team of accounting professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and reconcile petty cash and banking statements
  • Process corporate credit card reconciliations
  • Perform multifactor banking and internal/external stakeholder correspondence
  • Prepare end-of-month reporting and journal entries
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations and amortisation schedules
  • Perform other accounting administrative tasks as directed by the Financial Controller

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bookkeeping/end-to-end accounts experience with high volume transaction processing
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience in MYOB AccountRight accounting system
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of the mortgage industry or banking (beneficial but not essential)

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80k-100k inclusive, dependent on experience. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive team environment with five weeks of annual leave per year and bonuses such as additional superannuation contributions.

Note

This is an office-based role; however, flexibility in hours can be considered for the right candidate.
