Disability Support Worker

We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable and skilled female Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care to a Client in the late stages of Huntington's disease.
The roles requires someone who is;
- Gentle and empathetic, with a calm and reassuring presence.
- Firm but kind, able to maintain clear boundaries while building trust within a working relationship.
- Patient and emotionally resilient, especially when supporting complex needs.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Completely reliable and consistent, showing up with professionalism and dedication every shift.
- Adaptable and quick thinking, able to pivot and respond to effectively to changing situations.
Shift requirements:
- Community access.
- Supporting with personal care.
- Support with domestic chores.
Shifts Available:
- Tuesday's 8:30am to 3:30pm, Friday's 8:00am to 12:00pm and 3:30pm to 6:30pm.
The Client requires sensitive and skilled support, particularly around mobility and personal care. As the condition progresses, the ability to support with dignity, respect and safety is paramount.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the life of this person living with a neurodegenerative condition.
QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $35.66, Evening $38.30, Night $39.33, Saturday $48.65, Sunday $62.62, Public Holidays $ sorry, rates are not negotiable).
You will have support in your role via a comprehensive care plan and support from our awesome Support Specialist team.
We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions where required, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having the assurance of consistency ofClients you support.
You have a comprehensive suite of online learning to support you and face to face learnings.

To be successful you must…
- Have experience in the disability field

- Hold a NDIS Worker Screening Card and Working with Children Blue Card
- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
Your key responsibilities & accountabilities…
- To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs
- Provide support to our Clients as required
- To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
- Be reliable, flexible and responsive to fill shifts when required
